A Spanish businessman named Juan Lopez Diaz founded this brand in the 1870′s in Havana. The brand “Flor de Juan Lopez” was registered in 1876. Made with the best leaves of the Vuelta Abajo, it became one of the best brands in Cuba within as little as two decades. Although little known around the world, Juan Lopez has always attracted a following amongst aficionados of Habanos. Since a couple of years, Habanos offers the exclusive opportunity to selected sellers to develop regional editions. These limited regional editions are characterized by their numbered boxes and the extra band around the Habano. The selected cigar remains exclusive to the concerning seller for a minimum of two years. Since 2007, five different Habanos Exclusivos Benelux have been brought out: two Exclusivos BeLux, two Exclusivos Paises Bajos and this year’s Juan Lopez Don Juan.

At this launching we have received information about further developments of the Habanos company and the Benelux market.

Two brands will be exclusive to the Habanos Specialists as from July 1st. Our Casa del Habano Antwerp store is one of these specialists;
